a great deal more than an art break

Oils
Mo Teeuw is a professional artist and experienced tutor, who has taught many art workshops and courses in the UK; she has also run several art groups in France, Mallorca, Spain and Morocco over the years. Predominantly a landscape painter, Mo has a passion for working en plein air, and particularly loves the atmosphere and scenery of the North Norfolk coast. Her paintings are about light and capturing the essence of the landscape.
Mo thoroughly enjoys running painting holidays and is much looking forward to her first Art Break with Big Sky Art in August 2021. This course is suitable for the more experienced artist but also for beginners, with tuition given at individual levels. Although Mo herself will be using exclusively oils, she is very flexible and if her students wish to work in other media that will be fine by her. She takes a light-hearted approach to teaching as she firmly believes that learning should be fun – but that emphatically does not imply that she is not serious about her own art.
Her work is much sought after for private collections and she has a huge following on social media. Mo is a full member of East Anglian Artists and East Anglian Group of Marine artists. She exhibits regularly at The Mall Galleries in London, Picturecraft Gallery in Holt Norfolk, and has exhibited at the annual NEAC and ROI exhibitions in London, besides having won a number of prizes and awards.
Finally, a quote from an unsolicited email from our Big Sky Art competition winner in 2019 who had attended one of Mo’s workshops previously and felt she would be a great addition to our tutor team:
‘….Mo Teuuw is a lady artist whom I would recommend for Big Sky Art in the future. I went to one of her courses, and she was an excellent teacher - very supportive, friendly and enthusiastic. In my experience Mo’s artistic prowess was only surpassed by her teaching abilities.’
